Local SEO for Kingston businesses, explained in plain English
You don't need to understand search engines. You need the people already looking for what you sell to find you before they find someone else.
What this is
I help small businesses in and around Kingston show up when someone nearby searches for what they do. That's the whole job. A plumber in Kingscourt, a dentist off Princess Street, a shop in the limestone blocks downtown: when a customer pulls out a phone and types four words, you want to be one of the results they actually see.
Most of the work is less exotic than it sounds. Your Google Business Profile is the modern version of the hours sign taped inside your front door. If that sign says one thing and reality says another, people show up at the wrong time and quietly decide you're unreliable. A lot of local SEO is walking the block, checking every sign anyone can see, and fixing the ones that are wrong.
How I work
A listing and profile cleanup starts at $750, one time, not a monthly retainer. If your situation needs more than that, you get the number up front before anything starts.
If you'd rather have someone watching things month to month after the cleanup, that's available too, and no year-long contract, and no fee for leaving. If you want to stop in April, you stop in April.
You get a report you can read without a translator: what I did, what changed, and what's next. If a report ever needs me on the phone to explain it, I wrote it badly.
I'll tell you when you don't need me. Some businesses need six months of steady work. Some need two hours of cleanup and a nudge every spring. I'd rather say that out loud than sell you the big version.
Who I am
I'm Christopher Ross. I've been building for the web since 1996 and working in WordPress since 2007. I also run thisismyurl.com, where I do higher-end work for larger organizations. Same person, smaller scope. KingstonSEO.com exists because a bakery doesn't need what a university department needs, and the job here is sized to match.
I work from the Niagara region, at the other end of Lake Ontario. Kingston is a new market for me, so I'm doing the homework properly rather than pretending I grew up on Barrie Street.
